WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR COMMUNITY?

I love that our community feels like a neighborhood in a major city. Being able to reach out in support of projects like this becomes truly organic, and it always amazes me how fast the support comes together, you never get a "no" when the cause is right.

HOW DO YOU HOPE TO EFFECT POSITIVE CHANGE IN OUR COMMUNITY?

Involvement is the key--the old cliché “what goes around comes around” is never more true to form than when it involves children who need our help. I believe that the more exposure we get, the larger our reach will be.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Being involved with people like Dr. Rose. It is truly inspiring to see her work in a much needed but overlooked area of development. The private sector and the generosity of benefactors that come together to help those in need is very inspiring when it merges with the public sector.

WHAT GIVES YOU HOPE?

The reaction that the media, Mayor Walsh, students and teachers have had to Dr. Rose’s program ENVISION BOSTON GIVING. This can encourage others to participate and generate other potential developments. Being asked to help as an ambassador was an honor and the recognition of the other ambassadors, whom I know personally, generates awareness of the cause. Sometimes we can never do enough, but we start with what we can do, not what we can not do.
